About the Role: Chief Executive Officer

Resolution Circle (Pty) Ltd, a company 100% owned by the University of Johannesburg (UJ), is actively seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This pivotal role is offered as a 5-year fixed-term contract, based at our Doornfontein Campus.

As CEO, you will have a unique opportunity to significantly shape South Africa’s technical training landscape, build a lasting legacy, and lead a team passionate about innovation, impact, and education. Your primary objective will be to propel Resolution Circle to its next level of financial success and proactively establish it as a world-class training entity, ensuring its long-term financial and operational sustainability.

About Resolution Circle (Pty) Ltd

Resolution Circle is dedicated to providing practical work-integrated learning experiences for undergraduate engineering technology students, hands-on in-service project training, and various specialized short-learning and candidacy programmes. Our core mission is to develop essential skills that are directly applicable to the constantly evolving world of engineering and engineering technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic direction, culture, and overall growth of the company.
• Lead and inspire diverse cross-functional teams, including Finance, ICT, HR, Sales, Curriculum, and Consulting.
• Ensure the robust financial and operational sustainability and profitability of Resolution Circle.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders such as the University of Johannesburg, investors, clients, and the Board.
• Serve as a prominent champion for our brand, core values, and unwavering commitment to training excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• A postgraduate qualification, with a preference for Engineering or Business disciplines.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years at an executive level within the education or training sector.
• Demonstrated profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for operations exceeding R100 million.
• Possession of strong business acumen combined with sound academic understanding.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and effective team development.
